About the Author

Janet Farrar Byington was born and raised in a small Southern town nestled in a Northwest Georgia valley. To her, her purpose in life is to passionately inspire others to be strong and free. As a professional woman, mother, stepmother, and now grandmother to three precious boys and one precocious little girl, she especially wants to encourage all girls and women everywhere to find their passion and follow it wherever it may lead.

About the Illustrator

Cheryl Riner Hodge is an accomplished artist from Georgia whose principal medium is watercolor. She was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in Japan, England, New York, and South Carolina. She is a wife, a mother of one beautiful, bright, passionate daughter, and a grandmother of two—one amazing granddaughter and one fabulous grandson. She is a commissioned artist, and her favorite subjects include florals, portraits, pet portraits, historic buildings, and home portraits. Although her work can be found in many private and corporate collections, this is her first foray into children’s book publishing.
