When our granddaughters were born, we, like most excited grandparents, started collecting books to read to them. We were distressed to find so many books encouraging girls to be princesses, but very few encouraging them to be smart, strong, and courageous while following their dreams. Young girls need to hear the words of encouragement that this book offers from the cradle onward.

It is our hope that I Don’t Wanna Wear a Crown will be read by parents and grandparents everywhere to encourage their daughters and granddaughters to dream big dreams, and to work hard to achieve those dreams.
